Liverpool expects a 20% increase in Easter passengers

With Easter just a week away, today sees the start of the great Easter holiday getaway, with Liverpool Airport forecasting a possible 20% increase in passenger throughput the holiday period compared to recent weeks, bringing its busiest period of the year so far.
Over 200,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport during the Easter School holiday period, which begins today, as passengers take the opportunity to fly between Liverpool and a host of destinations across Europe and beyond. Popular routes are expected to include the wide choice of Mediterranean resorts and city break destinations available from Liverpool, served by Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air and Flybe.
As ever, the airport's management are keen to get the message across to anyone departing from the Airport in the coming days, to allow plenty of time to pass through the terminal, as it is expected to be busy at peak times.
