Ryanair axe Liverpool – Almeria flights
15.03.12
Ryanair has axed its flights between Almeria and Liverpool. The budget airline said its decision was the result of the refusal of the Almeria Tourist Board to promote the connection, the Leader reports.
The airline called on the agency to explain to the people of Almeria, who ‘depend on tourism’ why they rejected the proposal on the new route whose cancellation would involve the ‘loss’ of 10,000 British tourists and more than €9 million in revenues from tourism in the local economy.
