14.01.12
Ryanair will add two new destinations to their network of routes from Liverpool Airport this summer, taking the total number of destinations served by Ryanair to 40 from what continues to be their second largest UK base. The flights to Barcelona and Almeria in Spain commence on March 25 at the start of the summer flights schedule. Seats are already on sale with fares starting from just £29.99 one way.
Barcelona is expected to be a popular route for Ryanair passengers looking for a city break destination that combines great year round sightseeing with the added summer season benefit of a Mediterranean coastal resort. The coastal resort of Almeria and its surrounding areas in Andalucía, Southern Spain is also a popular holiday area.
Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Peel Airports said: ‘These are two great new destinations that will further complement Ryanair’s comprehensive list of routes from Liverpool. This remains their second largest UK base, with 40 destinations available from here and we expect these two new routes to prove popular with passengers across the region.’
