At Southwark Crown Court in London one woman and two men were sent to prison for a total of 22 years for conspiracy to supply a Class A drug after a drugs bust at Coventry airport. Cocaine with a street value of £250,000 was found wrapped in a baby blanket at the airport earlier this year, the court heard yesterday.
The court heard that three kilos of cocaine were discovered by customs officers at Coventry International Postal Depot, based at the airport. The package from Panama was found to contain a blue baby blanket concealing six clear plastic bags, each filled with 75 percent pure cocaine.
All three defendants were Colombians living in London. They all admitted both charges.
