31.08.06
Customs officers busted a drug-runners' plan to smuggle heroin through Coventry Airport in a photo album.
Officers from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) found the drugs, weighing 357.2 grammes and worth around £20,000 at the Parcelforce hub at Coventry Airport in Baginton. They had been sent by air from India.
The drug was hidden in the lining of the album which was to be forwarded by road from Coventry to London. Detectives are trying to track down the people behind the deal.
