Row at Coventry Airport over flight path change
31.05.07
Coventry Airport has been accused of being 'devious' for not doing enough to tell local residents about changes to flight paths.
The number of Thomsonfly 737 planes flying over Binley Woods has increased over the last few months, with residents claiming they are affecting televisions signals. The airport has now confirmed that they have been trialing revised flight plans as part of an expansion since March 1 and they run until tomorrow (Friday).
A spokeswoman from the airport said she could not comment on claims that information about the trial had not been advertised, but added that the details had been on the airport's website for some time. She added a consultation public meeting was also held to talk residents through flightpaths, although she could not confirm how this was advertised.
