Coventry airport decision reserved
29.07.08
A High Court judge has reserved his decision on whether to allow Coventry Airport to build a permanent terminal capable of handling two million passengers.
Legal arguments in the case, in which West Midlands International Airport Ltd hopes to overturn the government’s decision to refuse planning permission for what it says is a ‘modest’ expansion of passenger operations at the airport, lasted a total of five and a half days at the Central London court.
High Court judge Mr Justice Forbes yesterday reserved his decision in order to give a judgment in writing at a later date. However, with the High Court’s summer vacation set to begin on Friday, and last all of August and September, the decision is not likely to be given until October at the earliest.
