Swiss firm considers buying Coventry Airport
27.01.10
A Switzerland-based firm is considering taking over Coventry Airport. The city council said business support firm ADP had requested 30 days to look through the airport's books. The airport shut at the beginning of December, but passenger flights had stopped in 2008, with the airport continuing to handling freight, business and club flights.
The council's deputy leader Kevin Foster said the council had been talking to ADP since before Christmas and he was pleased with the progress. He said ‘We are very confident that this is something that will go forward and will not be 30 days wasted, but will be 30 days that brings an end to the issue.'
