A major international chain will to open Coventry's newest hotel next week, and will target customers flying from Coventry airport.
The new 4 star Ramada Hotel Coventry involved the total refurbishment of the old British Telecom Tower, near the city centre. It cost £15 million to transform this former BT building into a 166-bedroom hotel that includes a gym on the old car park next door.
Now it is ready for a 'soft launch' next week. New Manager, Navid Quraishi, said: 'We will be having a 'soft opening' of the hotel next week, when a party of German visitors will be arriving to try us out before making group reservations for next year.'
'Our leisure trade will include many tour group bookings from places like Germany, France, Japan and China. But we will also be catering for business visitors flying in to Coventry Airport and attending events at the NEC and Stoneleigh Park,' he added.
