Passengers say Coventry Airport the best for queue free travel

Passengers travelling via Coventry Airport have told an online flight delay website that it has the shortest queues in Britain. According to the online poll, over the past two months travellers at the airport had to wait less than four minutes to clear security and did not have to wait at all to get through immigration.
The figures recorded by passengers at Coventry airport are a sharp contrast to those at local rival Birmingham International, which came in 15th place. According to the website www.ukairportdelays.co.uk, it had an average wait of 19 minutes to clear immigration.
Chris Orphanou, Coventry Airport's managing director, said: 'We are delighted that this independent passenger survey underlines what we have always claimed at Coventry - we put our passengers first.'
