Speed record from Coventry Airport

Attila Balogh has set three new world speed records between Coventry and Budapest in a single engine aeroplane, pilotweb reports.
Taking off from Coventry Airport on Sunday 27 July at 08:15 local time, he landed in Budapest at 16:09 local time to a cheering group of supporters including family and friends, taking 6 hours and 54 minutes to complete the flight.
A fuel stop in Egelsbach, near Frankfurt allowed him to set three records in total: 1) Coventry to Budapest in 6 hours and 54 minutes 2) Coventry to Frankfurt in 2 hours and 49 minutes and 3) Frankfurt to Budapest in 2 hours and 58 minutes.
The flight was made in a Cirrus SR22 aircraft with an average ground speed of over 150 knots / 172 mph / 276 kph.
