Thomsonfly celebrates 2 years of flying at Coventry Airport
01.04.06
Yesterday marked the two year anniversary of the first Thomsonfly aircraft taking flight from Coventry Airport. In its first two years of flying Thomsonfly has made over 1.5 million bookings through Coventry Airport.
The airline has proved such a success that last year parent company TUI UK made the decision to extend the Thomsonfly name across the entire fleet of 48 aircraft, formerly branded Britannia Airways. Thomsonfly is now offering low fares flights to over 80 destinations from 24 UK airports - more UK departure points than any other airline - and it all began in Coventry.
Thomsonfly continues to fly to beach, city and ski destinations from Coventry with the most popular flight route currently being Malaga, closely followed by Jersey. For the first time this summer Thomsonfly will also be making it possible to fly from the Midlands to Salzburg outside of the ski season.
