bmibaby Cardiff Munich flights take off this weekend
30.10.10
Budget airline bmibaby will start a new service between Cardiff Airport and Munich this weekend. The airline will operate three flights a week from Cardiff Airport to the Germany's third largest city – the first low cost airline to fly the route - and expects to carry more than 10,000 business and leisure passengers over the winter period.
Managing director of bmibaby, Julian Carr, said: ‘We are delighted to have added Munich to our network of routes from Cardiff Airport. Munich is a cosmopolitan city and as Germany is not currently served from the region, Munich is perfect for leisure and business travellers.'
‘This new route will allow the region to develop strong business links with Germany and will provide much needed connectivity from the region to Germany as well as important inward investment.'
