Menorca flights take off from Cardiff

Budget airline bmibaby starts a new service from Cardiff to the Spanish island of Menorca today. It expects to carry over 13,600 passengers on the new service during the summer.
The flights depart Cardiff Airport each Friday and Sunday and will operate until 31 October 2009. Fares are from £36.99 one way including taxes and charges.
Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said: ‘We believe this new route to Menorca will be very popular with families, couples and intrepid explorers. Early bookings support this.’
