Cardiff Airport lounge milestone

A lucky traveller was given a special surprise at Cardiff Airport as the Welsh hub celebrated a milestone for its passenger facilities. Mrs Gaenor Howells was preparing for her flight to the Greek resort of Paphos when airport staff informed her she was the 100,000th customer to use its executive lounge.
Mrs Howells said: ‘I've used the lounge many times and the service is tremendous. Whenever you come in the staff are polite and courteous and will always go out of their way to assist you in any way they can.’
The 51 Executive Lounge at Cardiff Airport opened in October 2003. In addition to business travellers, who get complementary use of the lounge, other passengers can use its facilities from just £10.
