20.06.08
The first phase of winter flights from Cardiff Airport has been put on sale by bmibaby, the airport's biggest budget airline. It will offer flights Alicante, Faro, Malaga, Murcia and Palma, plus flights to Geneva during the peak ski season, with more routes to be announced shortly.
The airline’s managing director Crawford Rix said: ‘bmibaby is committed to its operation from Cardiff and will continue to offer low fares to exciting destinations. We will be celebrating six years of flying from the airport this year and hope to see many more successful years operating from Cardiff.’
Cardiff Airport’s managing director Patrick Duffy said: ‘It is good to see this commitment from bmibaby to the region. The Geneva service proved hugely successful for winter 2007 resulting in a highly successful winter season.'
