Drunk man kicked off Cardiff Airport flight
15.06.11
A pilot refused to take off from Cardiff Airport because he was worried about the amount a passenger had drunk, the BBC reports. The man, 31, from Swansea, who was also said to be scared of flying, was asked to leave the Bodrum, Turkey bound plane, causing a 25 minute delay on Monday. South Wales Police were called and escorted the man from the airport.
Thomson Airways confirmed that flight TOM 690, travelling to Bodrum, was delayed for 25 minutes due to a passenger becoming disruptive as the aircraft began taxiing towards the runway for take-off. A spokesman said it had a zero tolerance policy to drunken behaviour. A police spokesman said they would not be taking any further action against him.
