Local fare on north-south Wales flights
12.11.07
Passengers travelling on the new North and South Wales flights are being served mouthwatering treats sourced locally. Highland Airways and Menter Môn have joined forces with local producers to serve locally produced food to passengers on the popular service from Anglesey to Cardiff Airport.
Menter Môn hope to raise the profile of local producers. The fare will include locally baked shortbread biscuits, crisps flavoured with Anglesey sea salt, Flapjacks from Hootons at Brynsiencyn and cakes from Pantri Bach, Moelfre. Customers on board are also invited to enter a competition to win a Christmas Hamper of local produce.
Highland Airways operate twice-weekday flights between Anglesey and Cardiff. In the first six months, the airline has carried more than 6,000 passengers on its 19-seater Jetstream aircraft.
