Flybe has been named Cardiff Airport's busiest airline, beating off competition from other airlines including the previous number one bmibaby. The regional budget airline flies to seven destinations from Cardiff including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast City, Newcastle, Aberdeen and Paris.
Spencer Birns, head of air service development at Cardiff Airport, said: ‘We're pleased to see Flybe's consistent growth, offering Welsh passengers a wide range of routes and frequent flights to sought after destinations.’ Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, thanked passengers for help achieving the ‘key milestone’.
