Cardiff Airport bus axed; rail link bus under threat
03.03.12
Bus services in South Wales have been scrapped or scaled back after a Welsh Government funding cut. A 25% reduction in the Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG) has seen the cancellation of the X46 (Cardiff Airport - Cardiff) service with effect from April 12.
Vale councillors have reiterated their determination to keep the Cardiff Airport bus shuttle service, which runs to the airport's rail station in Rhoose. However, this will depend on the Welsh Government continuing to financially support it with between £100,000 - £150,000 a year.
