New Cardiff based airline still confident of takeoff

Founders of a new low cost airline to be based at Cardiff Airport are still confident of getting the business off the ground and have hit out at internet rumours suggesting they are not, the Western Mail reports.
Flyforbeans had planned to launch low cost services from Cardiff to Europe in 2007, but has put back its launch date a couple of times. On its website - flyforbeans.com - the company accuses people of spreading ill-informed rumours about the business.
In its latest blog entry the founders said it was aware of negative postings on web-based industry forums, which question the flyforbeans business model. The blog says: ‘Some are wannabe pilots (who will never make the grade), some are baggage handlers... and some have even applied for a job at the target of their ignorant and ill-informed negative comments. This latter group, because they did not meet the standards of airlines such as flyforbeans, and were rejected, rather unprofessionally and immaturely started spreading false rumours.’
A Flyforbeans spokesman told the newspaper: ‘We are still here and waiting for the optimum time to launch. We would be foolish in the extreme to do so now.’
