Bournemouth Airport wins award

Bournemouth Airport was voted the ‘Best Airport in Europe’ in the 1 - 5 million passenger category at the recent ACI Europe Awards. The award recognised achievement in core activities including customer service, retail, security and environmental awareness.
Rob Goldsmith, Bournemouth Airport Managing Director, said the airport faced strong competition and he was ‘delighted’ with the judges’ comments. He said: ‘It is wonderful to see that all our efforts are being recognised at a European level.’
The judging panel awarded the prize to Bournemouth for its ‘dynamic business approach in recent years, its commercial renaissance and exemplary care for passengers with reduced mobility.’ Earlier this year Bournemouth Airport was voted the ‘most improved airport in Europe for customer satisfaction’ by ACI Europe and opened Europe’s first Carbon Neutral arrivals hall. It is a shame not many passengers get to see it !
