Bournemouth Airport's £32m expansion plans approved
23.05.07
A £32m redevelopment of Bournemouth Airport has been approved by council planners. The plans are designed to help the airport meet an expected rise in passenger numbers from about 1 million this year to 3 million within 10 years.
The approved plans include overhauling the existing terminal and the removal of decades-old temporary buildings. They will also see the number of airport parking spaces increased and a new access road created.
Christchurch Borough Council backed the work, which will take up to five years. Work is expected to start within weeks.
