15.09.11
Blue Islands has announced it will launch a new Channel Islands to Bournemouth route in November. The news comes a week after Blue Islands revealed it would start flying from the islands to Manchester in October.
The airline stopped operating flights between Alderney and Bournemouth in April 2009. The new flights will link Jersey and Guernsey, where the airline is based, with Bournemouth, with
Rob Veron, managing director of Blue Islands, saying the route will be particularly beneficial to islanders studying at south coast universities.
The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting on November 1. They will start and end in Guernsey, and will fly via Jersey.
