bournemouth airport gets 7 new routes

Bournemouth Airport gets seven new routes as Thomsonfly announced that it will fly to 7 European destinations from the airport.
The low-cost carrier Thomsonfly (website www.thomsonfly.com), formerly Britannia Airways and part of the travel group TUI, will fly from Bournemouth airport to Malaga, Valencia, Palma, Faro, Pisa, Amsterdam and Paris from the spring 2005.
Unlike many other low cost carriers, these flights will fly to the larger 'traditional' airports (such as Charles De Gaulle in Paris), rather than a smaller airport outside the city often used by budget airlines. You can even pre-book your seat with Thomsonfly, but it does cost an extra £5 per seat / flight.
These new services from Dorset's 'international' airport (the official name is 'bournemouth international airport') will create more than 60 jobs and increase the flights choices from the UK's south coast. The first of these new flights will leave bournemouth airport on the 22.03.05, with the others starting at dates throughout the spring.
'We are delighted we can bring such a great range of destinations to the people of the region,' Alex Hunter from Thomsonfly stated.
