AirAsia X, the long haul budget airline, has introduced a new flying experience for passengers on its Stansted – Kuala Lumpur flights. The route, which is serviced by AirAsia X’s Airbus A340, has been revamped with new Premium FlatBed and economy class seats offering 'improved levels of comfort and ambience'.
The Premium FlatBed seats have a seat pitch of 60’, and are 20’ wide (which isn't very wide when compared to other airline's premium products). Once in the full bed position, AirAsia X Premium passengers can stretch out to 77’. The new seats also feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screens.
The complete 'Premium Experience' comes with Preferred Seat Assignment, Premium Check-in, Priority Boarding, Priority Baggage, 15 kgs Baggage Allowance, Meal & Drinks, pillow and blanket and costs from £649 one-way.
Passengers opting for economy class will also see a change. The economy seats will feature new ergonomic, reclineable seats at 31’ pitch equipped with comfortable adjustable headrests.
