24.06.08
Local s have been reassured that Stansted Airport is still ‘vital’ to the Essex business community, despite three airlines stopping flights to America in the last six months. The airport's strategy and solutions director, Nick Barton, told Business Essex that with 4 million business travellers passing through the airport every year, the airport is still a major transport link for businesses.
Mr Barton said: ‘We are vital to the business economy. Nearly 20% of our passenger traffic are business travellers. Essex business passengers make up half a million of the annual four million figure. We are also the biggest point of entry for cargo.'
