Man in court over Stansted shop fraud

An unemployed man is due to appear in court today (Wednesday October 21), on charges in connection with fraud offences at Stansted Airport. Leonard Hooper, aged 23 and from Hawthorn Avenue, Tower Hamlets, is accused of six counts of committing fraud by false representation at retail outlets at the airport.
Mr Hooper will go before magistrates in Harlow. He is accused of use a forged 50 euro note to buy low-value items and obtain Sterling cash change at the airport. He faces similar charges in Chelmsford and Reading.
