Ryanair offer airport transfers
20.04.08
Ryanair is offering airport transfers to book via its website. The budget airline has signed an agreement with ShuttleDirect to provide transfers from more than 50 airports in Europe in a move that will provide Ryanair with additional ancillary revenue.
Head of ancillary revenue Santina Doherty said: ‘Ryanair’s partnership with ShuttleDirect will make it even easier for our passengers to avoid those airport queues. Not only can passengers dodge check-in queues with our web check-in service, now they can pre-book private car, minibus, coach and shuttle services.’
As ever though, passengers should do their research before buying a flight transfer from Ryanair. On a recent Rome flight, another service that was significantly cheaper than the one sold by Ryanair was offered once inside the airport.
Also, check the cost of a taxi (Warsaw Airport to a central hotel costs less than £10 for a family of four, for example) and a bus or train operated by a local company. And consider where the bus will drop you. If you need to take a taxi to your hotel from a bus station (assuming you can find one), this could negate much of the cost saving and add to the hassle factor.
