US airport parking customers warned over car eating rabbits !

US passengers have been warned to beware of the car-eating rabbits if they leave their car in airport parking. AOL Travel reports that rabbits recently got the blame when a man returned from a trip to find his new Volkswagen Jetta had an electrical problem.
Dexter Meyer had parked his car at Denver International Airport. He said when he returned a week later he turned on the ignition and all the lights started flashing. He opened the manual and found he ‘had a big problem,’ so he took it back to the dealership where he had bought the car.
There a service manager suggested a rodent had been snacking on his car. When Mr Meyer said where he lives does not have rodents, the manager asked if he had parked at the airport. The manager said they had a number of other complaints of rabbits eating through wiring whilst cars have been parked at the airport parking facility.
The airport admitted it sees about a dozen or so claims each year for similar damage. The dealership service manager said he had seen at least a handful of cars recently whose owners reported their warning lights came on after being parked at the airport.
