19.06.09
An aircraft engineer who refused to switch off his mobile phone on a flight between Stansted and Edinburgh and then shouted and swore at cabin crew and police officers, has been fined £1000.
Salim Al-Khanjary, 43, of Pages Close, Bishops Stortford, pled guilty to committing a breach of the peace on an easyJet flight and also at Edinburgh Airport. At Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday Sheriff Nigel Morrison told him: ‘You aught know this sort of behaviour is unacceptable’.
