Ryanair adds ‘ash rescue flights’
18.05.10
Ryanair is putting on extra flights today to 'rescue' holidaymakers stranded by the latest volcanic ash cloud problems. The budget airline will operate extra services from Dublin, East Midlands, Prestwick and Stansted airports to and from the Canary Islands, Faro and Alicante.
A spokesman for the airline said passengers with a booking that has a return flight included that has not been cancelled and who have already checked in for that flight will NOT be able to transfer their return flight to a different date. If they wish to do this they will need to call the airline's reservation centre - and pay their pence per minute call charges.
