Ryanair and easyJet top complaints table

Budget airlines Ryanair and easyJet, received more complaints than any other airline used by British passengers in 2009, according to a report in the Guardian. Missing bags, cancellations and denied boarding were the most common issues recorded by air transport watchdog the Air Transport Users Council (AUC).
easyJet fared worst with 719 complaints, but was closely followed by Ryanair with 673. The AUC figures also show that overall, complaints are on the rise, with Ryanair seeing a 70% increase in complaints since 2005 and easyJet’s increasing by a third over the same period, although both airlines have grown considerably, which would explain part of the growth.
