Maxjet bought by sports flight company
17.04.08
Former Stansted Airport based and Aim listed all business-class airline MaxJet, which stopped flying on Christmas Eve last year, stranding hundreds of passengers, is to make a comeback as a charter service. MaxJet had previously operated a sports charter service in addition to scheduled flights, and flew the US Ryder Cup team from the US to Ireland last year.
NCA Sports Group, which operates charter flights for college sports teams and fans, has won bankruptcy court approval to acquire MaxJet's assets. Kevin Clark, chief executive officer of the company, said: ‘I am looking forward to adding MaxJet to the NCA Sports Group family. We believe that it's time for a smart luxury charter service that combines comfort, value and flexibility.’
