Spanish strike affects Ryanair baggage on flights

Strike action taking place at Girona Airport in northern Spain has affected Ryanair's ability to carry hold luggage on its flights. The budget airline is operating a full schedule of flights despite the industrial action by baggage handlers, but it is asking all passengers departing from Barcelona Girona to use its web check-in service and travel with carry-on luggage only in order to ensure their travel plans are not cancelled due to strike action.
Passengers intending to travel to or from Barcelona Girona until June 20 (Monday) should check www.ryanair.com on whether checked luggage will be accepted. Anyone wishing to travel with checked in luggage must either switch to later flights or travel from another Spanish airport.
