Ryanair criticised over fare prices in advertising

Ryanair has been censured by the Dutch advertising standards commission for failing to give complete ticket prices in its advertising. The airlines adverts do not include costs such as extra charges for paying by credit card - which are unavoidable and should be disclosed, the commission said.
The travel agency umbrella group ANVR had asked the commission to look at Ryanair's advertising. Perhaps the European Commission will now force the airline to include these costs - including its new 'Compensation Levy' added to cover EU passenger compensation rights - in its fares.
