AirAsia add Stansted – KL flights

AirAsia has announced that it will operate additional flights between Stansted Airport and Kuala Lumpur to cope with demand. The low-cost service currently runs seven times a week, but in July, August, September and December 2010 and January 2011 an extra two flights will be added each week. Flat bed seats will also be introduced in the premium section of the aircraft used to operate the flights between London and the Malaysian capital.
Azran Osman-Rani, chief executive of AirAsia, said: ‘We have seen surging demand on the Stansted to Kuala Lumpur route despite 2009 being one the toughest years for the aviation industry. In its first year of operation, over 220,000 passengers used the service.'
