Swiss aviation maintenance firm SR Technics is to cut between 200 and 300 jobs by the end of the year as a result of the downturn in the industry, including 75 at Stansted, Swiss agency ATS reported yesterday.
The company, a former subsidiary of Swissair, plans to cut between 75 - 90 jobs from a 750-strong workforce at Stansted, the agency reported. SR Technics, which currently employs 3000 people worldwide, is owned today by Madala Development Company (70 percent) and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (30 percent). In April the company shut down its site in Dublin, with the loss of 1,135 jobs.
