New Stansted coach link ready to launch
10.04.08
A new coach service running between Stansted Airport and Ipswich will launch on May 3. Tickets for the Airdirect Express service, which will run all year and for 24 hours a day, every two hours, are already available.
The high quality coaches have full leather interior, Wi Fi and air conditioning, with 75 minute journey time. A taxi journey can be included into the price of their ticket for those living on the outskirts of Ipswich.
The airport hopes the launch will encourage more passengers to use public transport. Steve Mills, public transport manager at Stansted Airport, said: ‘We already have more than 40% of our passengers using public transport to get to and from the airport. This new route will help us continue to build on our UK leading position.’
