Stansted Airport plan hydrogen fuel trial

Stansted Airport is to begin an innovative hydrogen fuel trial. The airport is set to become the first UK company to trial the new hydrogen refuelling system in order to test new green technology to reduce emissions by using hydrogen to power its vehicles this spring.
Dr Andy Jefferson, Stansted Airport's head of health, safety and environment, said: ‘We are extremely proud of the fact that air quality levels at Stansted are lower than the limits set by the EU. It is by continually focusing on our environmental performance that we will be able to maintain and improve those levels further.'
He added that Stansted is committed to environmental management and is ‘delighted’ about the new project. The Hilton Stansted Airport will hold a launch event for the initiative on March 8.
