Ryanair plan new in-flight wi-fi / entertainment
08.11.11
Ryanair wants to introduce in flight wi-fi, charging passengers to watch entertainment or surf the web in-flight on their laptop, tablet or mobile device. Many newspapers have focused on the airline's boss suggesting that this could include watching 18+ rated films.
The budget airline is looking to fit planes with wireless technology, which is already offered on some domestic US flights including those operated by Virgin America. Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary said the service could allow flyers to catch up on work, watch films, play games or gamble. He said: ‘We want to provide services you’d expect in a hotel room.’
