Former minister backs Stansted expansion

A former cabinet minister backed the continued investment Stansted Airport at a conference this week. Ex-chief secretary to the treasury Michael Portillo spoke out about the important role played by aviation in UK business, at a Stansted networking event at the Down Hall Hotel.
Jointly organised by the airport and the Essex Chamber of Commerce, the Meet the Buyers event aimed to give the region's suppliers the opportunity to market their goods and do business with companies based near Stansted.
