Ryanair passengers up 15%

Ryanair reported a 15% rise in passenger numbers in October as cash-strapped travellers continued taking cheap flights. The budget airline carried 6.16m passengers in October compared with 5.35m last year.
Its load factor, a measure of the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was unchanged in October at 85%. In the year to the end of October the airline carried 64.1m passengers with and average load factor of 82%.
