30.11.05
Flybe, one of Europe's leading low-cost airlines, today announces the launch of further new routes to Europe as part of its summer schedule 2006. Flybe has increased its summer services and introduced exciting new destinations from regional bases across the UK as a result of strong consumer demand for the sunshine routes launched earlier this year.
The latest new routes for summer 2006 include routes from Southampton to the historic destinations of Avignon and Angers, meaning Flybe now serves 10 French destinations from Southampton International, the largest number of French regional routes from any regional UK airport. Flybe is also introducing a new service from Southampton to Faro, the gateway to the popular sunshine resorts stretching across Portugal's Algarve.
In addition, new European routes for 2006 are also being introduced from both Exeter and Leeds Bradford to Bergerac, and a service from Norwich to Bordeaux, as Flybe affirms its commitment to these three major regional bases.
These latest route announcements form the final phase of Flybe's full summer schedule for 2006 which will also see the return of popular French routes, along with increased frequencies to top Spanish resorts and on key domestic services across the UK.
The new routes for summer 2006 now available for booking at www.flybe.com include routes to (for full details of prices and start dates, please see 'Notes to Editors'):

Simon Lilley, Director of Marketing, Flybe comments: "Our increased summer schedule for 2006 is the result of us listening to, and responding to customer demands. The popularity of our routes to sunshine hotspots across France, Spain and Portugal in 2005, prompted us to look at the gaps in the market and fill these with exciting new routes to the destinations consumers are asking for."
Lilley continues: "The impressive sales we have seen following our first raft of summer routes 2006, which went on sale in September, prove that customers are looking for convenient low-cost services, from their local airports to make their family holidays as easy and stress free as possible. Over the past year we've seen a significant increase in passenger numbers from all our bases and we look forward to seeing continuing trends into 2006. "
