Southampton Airport lose Paris CDG flights
30.10.10
Southampton Airport will lose its flights to Paris’ main international airport this weekend. Flybe, the only airline to offer the route, will stop tomorrow . From Monday, Flybe will start flights from Southampton to Paris’ secondary airport Paris Orly, which is closer to the centre of the city but has fewer international connections.
A Flybe spokesperson said the airline plans to re-instate its Charles de Gaulle service from Southampton ‘in the medium term’. Air France, meanwhile, will cease flights between Southampton and Paris altogether on Sunday, handing over the route to Flybe as part of a major code sharing deal that starts this weekend.
