Christmas getaway at Southampton Airport

The Christmas getaway is underway at Southampton Airport. Over the next two weeks almost 100,000 passengers are expected to travel through the airport.
A spokesman for the airport has advised passengers going away for Christmas not to wrap presents that are being carried either in checked-in or hand baggage. It also recommends that anyone wanting to carry party poppers or crackers should contact their airline for more information.
