Flybe add Southampton - Manchester flights

Regional low-cost airline Flybe is to increase the frequency and capacity on its flights between Southampton and Manchester this summer. The airline is to increase its daily service from six to seven flights a day, as well as using an Embraer 195 aircraft on at least half of these services, increasing capacity by 40%.
Flybe has been operating Southampton to Manchester flights since 2004. Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer of Flybe, said that the route is extremely popular with travellers due to the low fares and short one hour journey time, compared to over four and a half hours (and two changes) on the train.
Flybe's additional daily flight launches on August 1 and will depart Manchester at 15:35 and Southampton at 16:55. One way tickets on the route are from £27.99 one-way including taxes and charges.
