Record Bank Holiday at Robin Hood Airport

Robin Hood Airport had its busiest bank holiday ever last weekend. The airport saw a 27.6 percent increase in passengers over last year, with 19,805 people passing through the terminal.
Managing director David Ryall said :I'm delighted to report the significant increase in passenger numbers. This demonstrates what an impact Robin Hood Airport continues to have on the region.'
Steve Adamson, product development and communications manager added: 'We're now looking ahead to the winter season, where we will see more flights on the popular Spanish route of Alicante start in November 2007 with Ryanair, Thomsonfly will start five flights a week to Geneva in December 2007, and by February 2008, Wizz Air will be operating 12 flights a week to and from Poland.'
