Robin Hood Airport is set for another exciting year, flying passengers to places that were previously not on the menu at the Yorkshire hub, a spokesman said.
Steve Adamson, product development and communications manager at Robin Hood Airport, said: 'We welcomed over one million passengers in the last 12 months, and the new routes already announced to commence in 2008 will ensure another exciting year at the airport.'
The airport has already announced seven new routes - six international and one domestic - for 2008. Passengers will be able to jet off to Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw in Poland as well as Heraklion in Crete and Pula in Croatia. Nearer to home an additional flight to Jersey will take to the skies as of March and in May 2008 Thomson will begin operating a service to Kefalonia.
