Local firms back Robin Hood Airport
29.04.10
Business leaders from Doncaster have signed a pledge to support Robin Hood Airport. Businesses that travel frequently as part of their everyday operations have agreed to look into their current requirements to see if there are opportunities for them to fly locally.
The airport recently witnesses the launch of a number of new city routes, with easyJet starting services to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Prague over the last week and Aer Lingus offering flights to Dublin, with onward connections to New York and Boston, in addition to existing city services from Flybe to Belfast and Wizz to Poland.
Nick Smillie, aviation director, said: ‘Support from the local business community will be essential in ensuring these new services are a success. And successful routes will enable the airport to make the case for additional business-friendly services.’
